On Friday 27 March Guillaume Bijl, Fred Bervoets, Jan Decleir and Koen van den Broek made their works of art inside the houses of Doel villagers in a bid to saveguard the houses from demolition. All these people would very much like to stay in Doel.

Fred Bervoets made Marleen Peeters, who was born in Doel, extremely happy... She treated him like a saviour.

Jan Decleir, one of Belgium's most famous actors, made a painting in the house of Doel-based visual artist Denise Aerts.

Koen van den Broek worked in the corridor of Gunter Siech

While Koen was working in Gunter's corridor next door, Katie Heck snatch away some of his black paint and made a fast wall painting

Fred, too, felt like making another painting while everybody was waiting for Koen to finish his work.

The atmosphere in the village was very happy while the five painters were there
