Newsletter: 19-21 June: Three Artistic Events in Historic Hooghuis
20-21 June: Musical-Poetic-Photo-Art Exhibition "Doel… yes YOU CAN!" in the Historic Hooghuis · Exhibition of the photographic work of Richard De Nul in the 17th century Hooghuis. Richard is the photographer who meticulously documented all the houses, people and life in Doel for the past six months. For this occasion, the upper floor of the precious Hooghuis will exceptionally be opened to the public (see Richard's archive on www.denul.net/doel). · Two poets, Dirk De Boeck and Paul Vincent, wrote poems accompanying Richard's Doel images. The poets will also read their poems during exhibition hours. · This same weekend, cellist Dirk Strybol will try to break the world record violoncello playing in the Hooghuis. He will start playing Friday evening (19 June) at 21 hrs and go on until Monday morning! On Saturday and Sunday, various other musicians and dancers will come to support him and liven up his performance. · At the ground floor: permanent exhibition of the work of local artist Denise Aerts: paintings, sculptures, ceramics…. Richard will open his exhibit at 10 hrs on Saturday, 21 June. Opening hours from 10 to 18 hrs on Saturday and Sunday. Free entrance |
| 28 June: Second Viewing Day of KunstDoel Inside Works + trailer on youtube Nine renowned Belgian artists made works of art inside the houses of Doel inhabitants. On 28 June, these villagers will again open their doors to the public. Do not miss this opportunity to admire the works made by Fred Bervoets, Guillaume Bijl, Guy Van Bossche, Jan Decleir, Jan Van Imschoot, Kati Heck, Koen van den Broek, Mitja Tušek and Ria Pacquée.
